Bronchoscopy & Airway Procedures
Minimally invasive procedures to see inside the airways, obtain samples and treat airway problems.
Flexible Diagnostic Bronchoscopy
A thin, flexible camera is passed into the airways to examine them and collect samples.
Therapeutic Bronchoscopy
Bronchoscopy used to treat airway problems — clearing secretions, removing blockages or controlling bleeding.
Bronchoalveolar Lavage (BAL)
Sterile saline is instilled and gently suctioned back during bronchoscopy to sample cells and organisms.
Endobronchial Biopsy
Small tissue samples are taken from an abnormality visible inside the airway.
Transbronchial Lung Biopsy
Samples of lung tissue are taken through the airway wall during bronchoscopy.
EBUS-TBNA
Endobronchial ultrasound-guided needle sampling of lymph nodes and masses next to the airways.
Mediastinal Lymph Node Evaluation
Systematic assessment of enlarged lymph nodes in the centre of the chest, usually by EBUS-TBNA.
Lung Cancer Mediastinal Staging
Determining whether lung cancer has spread to lymph nodes — essential for planning treatment.
Foreign Body Removal
Bronchoscopic retrieval of inhaled objects lodged in the airways.
Mucus Plug Clearance
Bronchoscopic suction of thick secretions that block airways and cause lung collapse.
Bronchoscopic Balloon Dilatation
A balloon is inflated inside a narrowed airway to widen it.
Endobronchial Tumour Debulking
Bronchoscopic removal of tumour tissue that is blocking the airways, to relieve breathlessness and re-open collapsed lung.

Pleural Procedures
Ultrasound-guided diagnosis and treatment of fluid or air around the lungs.
Diagnostic & Therapeutic Thoracentesis
A needle or thin catheter removes fluid from around the lung for testing and symptom relief.
Ultrasound-Guided Pleural Procedures
Bedside thoracic ultrasound to locate fluid precisely and guide pleural procedures safely.
Intercostal Drainage (ICD)
A chest tube is placed between the ribs to drain air, fluid or pus from around the lung.
Pigtail Catheter Insertion
A small-bore, curled catheter for drainage — often more comfortable than a large chest tube.
Pleural Biopsy
Small samples of the pleural lining are taken to diagnose TB, cancer and other causes of effusion.
Pleurodesis
A procedure that seals the pleural space to prevent recurrent fluid or air collection.
Medical Thoracoscopy / Pleuroscopy
A camera is inserted into the pleural space to inspect it, take biopsies and perform pleurodesis.

Pulmonary Function Testing
Breathing tests that measure how well your lungs move air and transfer oxygen.
Spirometry
The most common breathing test — measures how much air you can blow out and how fast.
Bronchodilator Reversibility Testing
Spirometry repeated after an inhaled bronchodilator to see whether airway narrowing improves.
Six-Minute Walk Test
Measures how far you can walk in six minutes and how your oxygen level responds.
Advanced Pulmonary Function Testing
A complete assessment of lung volumes, airflow and gas transfer for complex breathing problems.

Sleep & Respiratory Support
Sleep studies, CPAP/BiPAP titration and non-invasive ventilation for sleep-related and chronic breathing disorders.
Polysomnography (Sleep Study)
An overnight study recording breathing, oxygen, brain activity and more during sleep.
CPAP / BiPAP Evaluation & Titration
Determining the correct pressure settings and mask for CPAP or BiPAP therapy.
Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) Assessment & Management
Breathing support through a mask — without a breathing tube — for people whose lungs or breathing muscles need help.

Allergy & Respiratory Evaluation
Allergy testing, structured asthma and COPD monitoring, and hands-on inhaler counselling.
Respiratory Allergy Testing
Identifying the airborne allergens behind sneezing, rhinitis and allergic asthma.
Asthma Assessment & Monitoring
Structured diagnosis, control assessment and long-term follow-up for asthma — including severe asthma.
COPD Evaluation & Monitoring
Confirming COPD, grading its severity and following it over time to reduce flare-ups and preserve lung function.
Inhaler Technique Assessment & Counselling
Hands-on training to make sure every dose of your inhaler reaches your lungs.
